Dr. Chandan Jha holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Louisiana State University and is currently an Assistant Professor of Finance at the Madden School of Business, Le Moyne College. He completed his undergraduate studies in India, where he earned an M.A. from Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics, Pune, and B.A. in Economics (honors) from Magadh University. His research interests lie in the areas of economic growth and development, political economy and finance, and finance and development. His scholarly articles have been published in several elite journals including the Journal of Economic Behavior & Organization, Journal of Population Economics, International Review of Finance, International Review of Economics and Finance, Finance Research Letters, and the Journal of Policy Modeling, among others. His contributions in various formats including columns, expert opinions, and Op-Eds covering a diverse set of economic, financial, and social issues have appeared on several platforms such as the Ideas for India, an economics and policy portal, WalletHub, a personal finance website, and the Hindu Business Line, a leading Indian business newspaper.
