Jack was born in Fairport, New York, a suburb of Rochester.

He started his banking career in 1974 and relocated to Syracuse in 1984.

 

From 1984 - 2000, Jack held various positions with Chase Manhattan Bank in

Central New York including, Senior Credit Officer and Regional President.

​

In May of 2000, Jack joined Alliance Bank as President. In 2001 he was named

President and CEO and in 2002 was named Chairman and CEO of Alliance Financial

Corp (NASDAQ:ALNC) and Alliance bank, N.A. Jack held those positions until

March of 2013 when “Alliance” merged with NBT Bancorp.

Jack remained with NBT as EVP Strategic Banking until his retirement in May of

2015. He continues to serve as a member of the Board of Directors of NBT

Bancorp (NASDAQ:NBTB) and NBT Bank.

Currently, in addition to his role with the Dolphin Green and Gold fund, Jack

serves as Chairman of the Advisory Board of the McNeil Academy within the

Madden School of Business at Le Moyne College.

​

Over the years, Jack has served on numerous not-for-profit boards and

professional organizations including, Central New York Economic Development

Committee, Syracuse Stage, Public Broadcasting of Central New York, New York

Bankers Association and Independent Bankers of New York State. In addition, Jack

previously served on the Le Moyne College Board of Regents

​

Jack resides with his wife Linda. They have three adult children and five

grandchildren.
